Fashion Favorites - Features designs from a variety of styles and
mediums that can be a personal favorite or necessary staple in any
wardrobe.
Birthstones (Peridot/Sardonyx)
Anything Goes - The beaded possibilities are endless and not just limited to jewelry.
What about pillows, table runners, picture frames, lamps, clothing,
candle collars, wine glass charms, and home decor. This category can
contain jewelry and a whole lot more!
Vacation -Those designs made for the perfect summer trip whether
cruising, or laying on a beach.
Culturally Inspired -
Indonesia, Africa, Native American, Hawaii, and China are just a few places that provide culturally inspired
designs.
Big & Bold - Big bold designs make the perfect statement for the season.
Necklaces
Refashion -Some of the greatest designs emerge from the unexpected, whether recycled, upcycled, or refashioned from other pieces.
If you would like to submit your work to this publication, please
e-mail a photograph, the name or title of your piece, and contact
information to: beadsubmit@beadtrendsmag.com.
If submitting multiple pieces, please send a separate e-mail and photograph for each design.
Deadline for the August 2010 issue is 11:59 p.m. MDT, February 28th, 2010. All
ideas should be your original work and not previously published.
We will review all submissions, and if selected, we will contact
you by March 2nd with additional information. All pieces will need
to be
shipped to us directly for photography and arrive in our office by March 12th. Your creation will be returned to you insured, after
the
issue has been printed.

Challenge: Favorite Tool - Show off your newest tool, or a tried-and-true favorite, in a fun, new layout. Make sure to tell us in your submission email why your tool is tops!
Stories To Tell: Stamps - Stamp your journaling or title and show us the results. We know you have tons of stamps in your stash - now's the time to show them off!

Stories To Tell: Hidden Journaling - We'd like to see how you incorporate longer journaling. Do you store it in a pocket, place it on a disk, or mount it behind your page? Please photograph both the layout and where the hidden journaling is placed.

We are now accepting submissions for hand-crafted
items that are not necessarily made with scrapbooking supplies for our August/September 2010 issue. This includes
general craft and sewing projects:
Summer Break Mini Albums - Whether you went on a trip or just chilled out at home, make a little book about the good times.
On Vacation - Share your best altered books / frames / shadowboxes for showing off vacation photos / memories / memorabilia.
Altered Clothing - Anything from decorated Onesies to screen printed or stamped t-shirts to items you've made by recycling clothes (reclaimed sweaters, sock animals, etc.)
Food & Friends - How do you (simply & realistically) dress things up for get-togethers with friends and family? We want to see table decor, invitations, altered canisters, etc.
Fun with Florals - Whether they're stamped, printed on a transparency or paper, or part of your favorite fabric print, show us what you've made using floral designs.
On the Wall - Painted canvases, DIY frames, quilted wall art, shadowboxes, embroidered designs - anything and everything cool that you might hang on your wall. (Don't forget: original designs only!)
Punches - We're looking for cute projects that use that standby, the punch. Old or new, shapes or borders...we'll even count decorative scissors. And don't forget about what you can do with plain hole punches.
Halloween Fun/Decor - Devilish decorations, spooky sweet containers, frightening party favors - we want to see all the goulish and ghostly things you craft by hand during the scariest time of the year.
The Boutique - Have you made something absolutely adorable...but it doesn't fit our current calls? Send it anyway, we're always happy to see all kinds of fabulous creations!
