While out shopping, I was very happy to see more and more pink being used for holiday decor. Being an all-girl house, we love pink! So I instantly fell in love with Eskimo Kisses from Basic Grey.

train450Melissa Gerace found this toy train at a tag sale and gave it new life. Double-sided cardstock means you have plenty of options when covering a project. (Check out her Eskimo Kisses advent calendar, too.) And while this line is fabulous for winter, it’s also great for non-holiday layouts and cards.

For more ideas that will tickle you pink, check out these sites:

Basic Grey Design Team pages – oodles of ideas from the BG design team.

Basic Grey Challenges – sketches, ideas, and challenges with chances to win great BG prizes. New challenge every 2 weeks.

Kelly Goree’s blog – awesome product shots of BG’s newest lines Origins and Sugar rush, coming soon to a store near you. Plus lots of gorgeous layouts Kelly created with these lines.

Facebook – for the latest news, updates, and bonus projects, be sure to connect with Basic Grey on Facebook.

Leave a comment for a chance to win a special Basic Grey Prize package! Good luck!

P.S. There is still time to “connect and win” a  Flip Video camera. Click here for all the details.

Double Duty

legs_allHoliday creativity brings so much fun to your season! It gets even better when you discover a way to make it budget friendly as well. In today’s economy, discovering extra ways to use your favorite products is a great find. Luckily, most of our spooky elements can serve double duty. I fell in LOVE with the “Witch Leg” stamp from Making Memories. (Isn’t it fabulous?!)

holidaybookIt was exciting to play with this stamp and discover how witch legs can easily become elf legs with just a simple change of colors and the addition of some little bells!

No tricks, just TREATS!

treats

Halloween is such a fun time to share treats – why not dress them up with a little festive touch? Gifts for teachers or neighbors go from drab to fab by simply dressing up a plain paper bag, such as this quick & easy bag created using products from Basic Grey’s fabulous Halloween line, “Eerie”, along with the Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Spider Web punch.

And make any Halloween party special with these fun skull favor boxes from Basic Grey (the best part is how simple they are to put together – just punch out and glue).

Planning to give out non-sweet treats? Try a custom pack of stickers, small toys, or foamies dressed in Halloween cuteness.
