Another week has come and gone. How is it October already? You know what they say, time flies when you’re having fun!

I was overwhelmed (in a good way!) with responses to last week’s flower challenge. You ladies are awesome, keep up the work because this is just too much fun.

Here are my top picks from the flower challenge:

It’s All About the Candy by Erin Manning – Flowers on a Halloween card? Undeniably cute.

Etc. by Amy Heller – Flowers hand cut from patterned paper is very resourceful!

The Earth Laughs in Flowers by Maile Belles – These stamped flowers are beautiful and elegant.

Hi by Jenny Gecos – Punched and layered and topped with a pearl, simple and sweet!

In Love by Dana Gustafson – Handmade or store bought, these beautiful white flowers add the perfect finishing touch!

Sweet by Samantha Sibbet – These are handmade ribbon flowers, embellished with buttons and brads. Wouldn’t they be cute on a headband, purse, or necklace?

This week’s challenge is based on this card by Laura Craigie, featured in the October 2009 issue of CARDS:

Happy Birthday by Laura CraigieThat banner particularly caught my eye. Isn’t it adorable? So will you make a card with a banner? I can’t wait see what you come up with! See you same place, same time, next week!

I've been scrapbooking since I was 16 years old and love the hobby more each day! I enjoy making things by hand - from cards and layouts to books and baskets. My day is not complete unless I've made something. I'm the Copy Editor for the Northridge magazines and love all the inspiration I get from seeing everyone's creations. On a more personal note, we're expecting our first baby, a boy, in October and we couldn't be more thrilled!
